I saw this image and it just bought to my mind the sense of what marketing should feel like. Good marketing should give the customer the sense that this company is reaching out and touching you in a profound way. I believe that to produce this personal connection you have to have a fundamental story behind your brand. This story is key to how to lure bloggers to talk about your company and products.

Pitching your story to social media is much like pitching to any media outlet—make it relevant, make it individualized and make it a great story. Yet, that story also has to resonate with the writer and their audience. Your best bet is to do your research. While it may seem obvious, read the outlet that you are pitching along with comments from viewers. What are they talking about? Are the readers your target audience? Then if everything is in line, pitch the story behind your brand–not specifically your brand. A good story will get noticed.
