Mixing things up at NeoCon to create an award winning showroom

Patcraft, a commercial carpet and flooring manufacturer, needed to stand out among the competition at NeoCon, one of the most recognized and attended trade shows in the commercial interiors products industry.


The company needed to redesigned its showroom to launch its new carpet and resilient flooring line, Mixed Materials at the show that launches thousands of new products every year to over 50,000 design professionals.

To build brand awareness and close sales opportunities with the nearly 40,000 architecture and design professionals in attendance, while competing with 700 other showrooms and exhibitors, Soloflight decided to mix things up. They drew inspiration for the showroom design from Patcraft’s newest collection Mixed Materials.


This theme inspired designers to flex their creativity without boundaries, playing off the ability to transition seamlessly from carpet to hard surface. They planned a cocktail party at the conference to showcase impressive local mixologists and celebrate the fusion of flavors, style and design. The team handled the company’s NeoCon presence from conception to installation – designing the layout, managing production, developing collateral and staffing event set-up and execution.
